Healthy sitting is essential for people to perform their tasks with energy. Our conductive ESD swivel chairs for the ESD area (EPA) offer optimal sitting conditions. The shape of the backrest of an ESD work chair is crucial for your range of motion at the ESD workplace. Various seating techniques with adjustment options such as seat angle, tilt angle, backrest counterpressure or synchronous mechanism enable you to achieve optimum seating comfort on an ESD swivel chair.

An ESD protection area can be anything from a workstation to an entire production line. But no matter how large an ESD protection area is, the same rules always apply to ensure that it works properly. ESD protection must be a closed circuit. From goods receipt to processing and delivery/goods issue. There must be no interruption in the entire circuit that could lead to ESD damage and render the subsequent product unusable.
In order to achieve a reliable level of ESD protection, the workplace itself must be measured on site. The permitted measured values and information on the measurement procedure are specified in the ESD standard EN 61340-5-1 (or ANSI S20.20 or equivalent) and its annexes (3). This standard is a good starting point if you want to develop your own ESD control plan.
