All ESD work jackets can be embroidered or printed with a company logo, department name or employee name on request. This facilitates clear identification within larger production teams and supports a consistent appearance across the organisation – without compromising the ESD protective function.
Why is an ESD work jacket necessary in EPA areas?
Conventional work clothing made from synthetic materials can build up electrostatic charges and endanger sensitive components. An ESD work jacket made from conductive blended fabric dissipates charges in a controlled manner, preventing unwanted electrostatic discharges at the workplace.
How is an ESD work jacket tested?
The conductivity of ESD work jackets is tested per DIN EN 61340-5-1. The determining factors are the surface resistance of the fabric and the correct dissipation through the wearer's body in combination with ESD shoes or heel straps.
How often should an ESD work jacket be washed?
ESD work jackets should be washed in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations – generally at a maximum of 60°C without fabric softener, as fabric softener can impair the conductive fibres in the fabric. After a defined number of wash cycles, a re-test of the ESD properties is recommended.
What sizes are ESD work jackets available in?
