Ideal Cleaner for ESD Surfaces and ESD Floors

Regular hygienic maintenance cleaning prevents the formation of germs and protects against contamination – additionally, your health benefits from a clean working environment. Beyond its thorough cleaning power, ESD-MultiClean has the important property of preserving the conductivity of cleaned surfaces by, for example, leaving no protective film behind.

Why is Correct Cleaning of ESD Surfaces Essential?

Conventional cleaning agents are unsuitable for use in EPA areas. They leave insulating residues or protective films that can significantly increase the dissipation resistance of ESD table mats, ESD floors and other dissipative surfaces – potentially interrupting the grounding connection entirely. ESD-MultiClean has been specifically developed for use on ESD-sensitive surfaces: it cleans thoroughly without impairing the conductive properties of the substrate. This makes it the standards-compliant solution for regular maintenance cleaning in EPA areas per DIN EN 61340-5-1.

Applications of ESD-MultiClean

ESD-MultiClean is suitable for cleaning the following surfaces and materials in EPA areas:

ESD table mats and table coverings – Regular cleaning to maintain defined dissipation resistance values per standard.
ESD floors – Maintenance cleaning of dissipative and conductive floor coverings without impairing conductivity.
ESD work furniture and shelving – Cleaning of dissipative surfaces on ESD workbenches, cabinets and storage shelving.
ESD transport equipment – Cleaning of ESD trays, troughs and transport containers.
ESD footwear – Cleaning of ESD shoe soles to maintain dissipative properties.

Application Notes

For a standards-compliant EPA environment, regular cleaning of all dissipative surfaces with ESD-MultiClean is recommended – particularly after intensive use, shift changes or in the event of visible soiling. After cleaning, the dissipation resistance of the cleaned surface should be verified using a suitable resistance measuring device to document ongoing standards compliance.
