ESD Flooring as Roll Goods: Seamless Coverage for Large Areas

Where larger, continuous areas need to be protected against electrostatic discharge in compliance with the standard, ESD flooring supplied as roll goods is often the most economical solution. Unlike floor tiles installed with a puzzle-lock system, roll goods create a near-seamless surface – an advantage wherever cleaning, appearance or particularly uniform dissipation are a priority, such as in cleanrooms, large production halls or laboratory areas.

Loose-Laid or Glued: Two Ways to Install ESD Flooring

Depending on load and expected service life, our ESD flooring can be laid loose or permanently glued down. Loose-laying suits areas that are occasionally reconfigured or extended, while gluing – for example with a conductive fiber adhesive such as Uzin KE 2000 SL – is recommended for permanently high-traffic areas like assembly lines or warehouse zones. Our roll goods are available in 10 m or 15 m lengths at a width of around 1.22 m, allowing even large areas to be covered quickly and with few seams.

Different Materials for Different Requirements

Our range of ESD flooring covers a variety of material qualities: PVC-free rubber floorings such as Noraplan STONE ED or Noraplan SENTICA ED for heavy-duty use, as well as two-layer synthetic rubber floorings such as EP-SAFE, which can be installed either loose or glued. All variants meet the surface resistance requirements of EN 1081, forming the basis for a compliant EPA under DIN EN 61340-5-1.
