ESD floor mats for ergonomic, standards-compliant standing workstations
Anyone who works standing up knows the strain that hours on a hard floor put on the back, joints and circulation. ESD floor mats combine ergonomic comfort with reliable ESD protection, making them the ideal solution for standing workstations in electronics manufacturing, testing and inspection areas, and assembly lines. Unlike a rigid ESD floor tile or large-area ESD floor tiles, ESD floor mats also provide a springy, fatigue-reducing standing surface thanks to their studded structure — the so-called forest floor effect.
The forest floor effect: comfort meets ESD protection
The studded structure of our ESD floor mats mimics the natural give of a forest floor, noticeably relieving strain on the back, legs and joints during long periods of standing work. Depending on requirements, different stud shapes are available: flat studs for an even, easy-to-walk-on surface, round studs for added flexibility, and cone studs for a particularly intense massage effect. This allows the right ESD floor mat to be matched precisely to the workstation and the demands placed on it.
Certified ESD floor mats to DIN EN 61340-5-1
All our ESD floor mats are certified by the ESD Academy and meet the requirements of DIN EN 61340-5-1. This ensures that electrostatic charges are safely dissipated and that your EPA (Electrostatic Protected Area) is equipped in full compliance with the standard. The mats are made from NBR rubber, foamed polyurethane or nitrile — all materials made in Europe and built for durability in continuous industrial use.
ESD floor mat or ESD floor tile — which solution suits your workstation?
While an ESD floor tile is best suited to large, permanently installed EPA areas, the ESD floor mat plays to its strengths at individual standing and work stations: easy to position, simple to clean, and available with custom cuts to match the exact workstation geometry. Optionally, our ESD floor mats are available with a DK10 snap-fastener grounding connection and a 10x10 cm adhesive area in the corners, allowing the mat to be securely fixed in place and grounded to standard.
