The EFM 822 electric field meter is characterized not only by its compact design, but also by its particularly user-friendly "one-button" operation. The antistatic plastic housing meets the requirements of an EPA (electrostatically protected area) and thus ensures a reliable measuring environment. In addition, the device offers technical refinements that set it apart from comparable measuring instruments.

The menu-controlled measuring distance preselection enables voltage potentials on the measurement object to be determined directly. This eliminates the need for time-consuming conversions, as the EFM 822 offers optimum handling in different detection ranges with five preset measuring distances. The hold function makes it possible to freeze the measured value in the display, which enables precise measurement, especially in hard-to-reach areas.

The very high zero point stability eliminates the need for zero point adjustment before each measurement, which further increases the efficiency of the device.

With a measuring range of 0 to ± 200kV at various measuring distances (1cm, 2cm, 5cm, 10cm, 20cm), the EFM 822 is suitable for a wide range of applications. Its compact dimensions of 122mm x 70mm x 26mm and low weight of approx. 139 g (without battery) make it extremely handy. It is powered by a 9V alkaline block battery IEC 6F22.

The 2-line alphanumeric LCD display shows the selected measuring distance in cm on the top line and the measured charge in volts on the bottom line.

The scope of delivery includes the EFM 822 electric field meter, a carrying case, a 9V battery/rechargeable battery, an earthing cable with crocodile adapter, the operating instructions and a calibration certificate for maximum accuracy.

Hold function
The measured value can be frozen in the display, allowing accurate measurements to be taken even in hard-to-reach areas.
