Safety in combination with ESD flooring
ESD shoes conduct electrical charges safely and in a controlled manner, provided that you are standing on conductive flooring, which is used particularly in EPA zones. In electronics manufacturing, ESD shoes such as lace-up shoes, clogs, slippers or business shoes ensure conductivity in accordance with DIN EN 61340-5-1, EN ISO 20347 and EN ISO 20345.
What characterises ESD footwear?
Footwear is classified as ESD footwear if the electrical resistance of the person-shoe-floor system is less than 3.5 x 107 ohms or 35 MOhm in accordance with EN61340-5-1 (verification).
